New to the BMW Family
 Hi I'm new to the BMW family. I come from a long line of Chevy drivers. I just got a 04 325CI Convertible and I love it however I have two questions. 1) When I lock the doors with the remote there's no beep or anything. I'm used to a beep or lights flashing something. Is there something wrong? 2) I have a broken rear view mirror. I found a replacement but is missing the SOS button. Mine has the SOS button and garage opener. Do you guys think that I can still use it. Thank you in advance. Nick, Lebanon PA |

Mine is a 98 and it has never "beeped". I have never heard of a factory BMW alarm making a chime when you unlock the doors. Do you use the SOS button at all? Do you ever think you will use the SOS button? If not, then it should be fine.

Hi All Well I have a 2000 325i & 2001 328ci......on both cars it says oil service light are on ...had oil change on both ....lights still on...also on the 328ci when I start it yellow or orange oil symbol comes on, after car runs maybe 3 seconds it goes off....any help please Ken |

Welcome to United Bimmer. The oil light has to be reset using a special tool. Not all oil change places have it. I just take my car in to the dealership and they do it for free in like 10 minutes. With the light coming on that's fine. That's just the car doing diagnostics to make sure everything is fine. If the light does not go out then their is a problem.
