What happens to your BMW when you're not "Keepin' it Real!"...(pics)

So I was online looking for parts for my 318i and the seller of the poor 98 318i said some kid rebadged it and tried to keep up with Cayenne (400 HP). Poor kid thought the M3 badge added HP to his 4banger. :lol
I guess the kid didn't know what he was doing when he fishtailed and spun outta control at a turn(from the pics I can see it had to be the bald-ass tires )
now I hear he takes the bus to school.. :lmao

You don't need power-over when you've got debris or a full 2" of water on thedriving surface.
Those tires didn't look bald, they looked like CRAP tires.

yeah and showing off....

last night I raced a E39 (2002 or 2003) 530i on the way home. It was this jamaican kid and we were coming down Atlantic Ave. I knew his car had more power but we were playing cat and mouse in mild traffic at night on an very dark industrial road with overhead railroad tracks and more potholes that swizz cheese9its a main truck route thru Brooklyn). I actually beat him, not by driving faster or having a fast car, but by driving smarter plus my new bilsten sports shocks are awesome for handling tight turns and squeezing in between slow cars.
His car was lowered it seemed and he was avoiding potholes and manhole covers. I never noticed the E39 body is way too big and clumsy (relative to my E36 body) to manuver thru traffic at high speeds. Anyway I won and I didn't even need an M3 or a M3 badge! :lmao

it wasnt that great of a sticky job, the ///M is all like not level with the 3

thekid 09-08-2005 01:04 PM

A 318i does have the power to get the back end to wander out. I am not sure if you can do it with a stock suspension. But if I enter a 90 degree right hander hard on the brakes at about 40 (going in not sustained) in 2nd then go right over to the gas, I can get the back end to slide out in a very controlable manner. But I think it is only because of the extra force put on my tires from my suspension mods, with a little help from the engine. But it only does it whilst accelerating.

I also almost posted my first response on bimmerwerkz... then I was like WTF? I already posted that. I need to stick to one forum. This is getting confusing...

brien4787 09-08-2005 05:45 PM

cant slide the back end on a 318? i do that all the time dude...
its not that hard....

nick_318is 09-08-2005 05:52 PM

Yea I have seen old 2002s getting the rear out, you can do it should you want to.

brien4787 09-08-2005 09:11 PM

lately, everytime i drive in the past few weeks i do it at least once... hehe, fucking up my tires, yes... i love how all the suspension is original from the factory too...haha
fuck it..

Torque 09-08-2005 09:59 PM

Numark318i 09-08-2005 10:21 PM
