2000 323I drivers side airbag, O2 sensors...

I had my engine replaced, aftermarket brand, and now my mechanic also replaced the alternator. the alternator caused the following...
How can an alternator cause the O2 sensors,aux. cooling fan,Drivers side airbag, front air bag crash sensors and low beam bulbs to blow?
Doesn't the fuses protect this?
Am I being taken for a ride!!!!
