What is your opinion on the new designs?
OK so in the ten minutes I've been here I havent really recognized many names from the other forums I'm on (DTM, bf.c). So maybe we'll see some different answers other than they suck and we should hang bangle.
Personally I like them, theyre not as bad as people make them out to be.

I agree. People say they're not as simple anymore and they over did it, but I personally love the e90 body style. The curves flow nicely and it just looks like an agressive car.
i am an avid lover of most if not all pre-bangle cars. i agree that the designs need to change, but maybe not quite so radically in my opinion. i am frustrated that first of all the trunks on the 5,6, and 7 are really ugly. the sixer is a beauty except for the rear! i also dont agree that the designs will get better because they "grow on you". did an e46 m3 or a e28 m5 have to grow on you? didnt think so. also, because the base models are mediocre, i find myself having to look forward to the m version just to accept it.
I have always loved the bangle designs. I think they are a step forward in car design. Notice how alot of other companies, acura for one, have started to copy some of the styling cues from BMW.

At first I was very unhappy when the new 5 came out b/c i didn't think it carried the traditional designs of BMW. But over time, the new designs have grown on me. I think once the 7 came out and I was absolutley amazed by it, I have come to like the new styles. Not sure about the new 3 yet though. Maybe just b/c I am partial to my e46.

Isn't it more like BMW copying Acura/Honda? Meaning with the planned body design.... Could be wrong, but it just seems as though the future is all about having Oblique angled body panels.
With that being said... it's growing one me, the E90 is starting to look good, even though I detested it a while back. One thing still bothers me though... It's getting complicated with more and more things on it to break. Whatever happened to "Keep it simple, Stupid" ? Just my $0.02.
