Hydramatic transmission identification

Hi all It is more than obvious that i'm new to this forum. A couple of days ago while a friend of mine was cleaning his garage and he found an Automatic transmission 5L40E which his father left long time ago. It seems to be new but both of us have the problem with the identification. We have looked everywhere in the web but couldn't find what all numbers printed on the transmission mean. So first we have a tag plate - http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/...n/TagPlate.jpg We also have a number - Z10205CH17 on the front part of the transmission. And another one at the back - GM 9602268. So far we found information that this transmission is suitable for some models of BMW, Caddilac, Land Rover. Can anyone tell me for what exact car model this transmission is suitable for? I really appreciate your time and effort!!! Pictures of the transmission you can see here - http://s1214.photobucket.com/albums/...0Transmission/

Problem solved. The transmission is for BMW X5. The administrator can delete the thread.
