I've always heard techno violet is the rarest color (speaking of which there's a techno violet M-Technik driving around my town i've seen twice now).

But this isn't off topic. I'm towing it to general bmw.

Was looking at a techno violet e39 m5 with white lilly leather interior the other day - Man it looked s**t hot!!!!! Would definetly be my choice of m5 colour - second would be cosmos black of course.

Hey, Delmarco, on this resale value thing, don't you think there is less calypso reds etc. about because fewer people have ordered cars in those colours??????? you can't even use the excuse that they are "Limited Edition" colours - as you said BMW still use it today. That tells me they are not popular colours and therefore the resale value will be lower .

i've seen lots of 318ti cars with "techno voilet" aka "Barney-purple" that color isn't all that rare....but it's probably rare in that it seems to have been limited to certain models...like the 318ti and probably E36 M3s...
