Company Reputations

Ever had any unusually good or bad experiences with online companies in bimmer related purchases? Share them here.

I personally had an issue with partstrain.com where they didn't give me shipping options, and they automatically shipped it ground when I needed the part much sooner, I called them up and they pretty much said "We have your money, so we don't care about you anymore." Because of that I have a passenger side e36 power mirror sitting unopened in my garage still. Anyone interested in buying it btw? haha. Needless to say I'd never buy from them again.

For a good experience, I know there's been some mixed reviews of Umnitza recently, but my personal experience was fantastic. I purchased my DDE's from them and they were shipped very quickly, then when I had some issues getting them installed, one of the representatives talked to me on the phone multiple times for as long as it took, trying to help me to get them installed and working. They even 2nd day'd me a replacement ring to me for free ($40 ring plus 2 day shipping). All the phone time and assistance in getting everything working was after they had their money and it should have been my responsibility to get them working, but they dedicated a lot of extra time trying to make me happy and I was very impressed by that, as it's unusual these days. I've heard mixed reviews of their service, but my personal experience with them was great and I'd recommend Umnitza to anyone who asks about headlights.

i'd like to give a good word to bimmian.com. I ordered some solaris chrome signal bulbs to use with my clear lenses from them. not only are they cheaper than the bulbs offered at bavauto, evan after shipping, they perform identically. I recieved a defective bulb that failed within a week, and they responded to my email promptly and are replacing it for free. I will definitely be ordering from them in the future.

K2motoring - When I purchased my tails they were supposed to be euro ones, instead they send me ones with that orange thing in the inside, ahd to remove it myself

Umnitza - They delayed my shipping for a week and a half

Bavauto - Had some payment problems with them twice (paid with diff. credit cards and they alaways had some issues)

The one company I had the best experience as far as car related purchases was: www.grtpl8s.com absolutely great experience!
