325 Motor losing power
 

My wifes 2006 325xi wagon has twice lost power while driving at a moderate speed and RPM. It feels exactly like the rev limiter kicking in but on both occasions it was around 4,000. Motor is still running, no throttle reponse (i didn't think to check the revs at this point as it was a semi dangreous situation) The electircal system is still operating with one exception; the center section of the message center on the dash is blank (lit but blank)

Pull over to the side of the road, turn the car off, turn it back on and everything is fine. BMW has found nothing.

Probaly no relationship what so ever but we had one other random thing that happened, the wipers stopped working. Pull over turn the car of and on, problem fixed.

it honestly sounds like a software or computer thing .

Quick update, car just spent 5 days at the dealer, nothing. They asked to put extended miles on the car to reproduce the issue, 160 mile, not repeat. I am really lost on this one and so is BMW.

Anyone seen anything close to this glitch?
