BMW 130i - United Bimmer Community

This thing is going to be a beast. Its got the 3.0L from the 330i thrown in it, and its pushing 258 horses, with this light a car (2890 lb) its going to fly. Im expecting the 0-60 to be in the mid 5 second range. And it IS coming to america, with the price expected to be 25 grand.. it is going to be an amazing car.

Imagine this thing in race trim.. with everything ripped out im sure it could get incredibly light, im guessing it could be in the 2400-2500lb's range, while still being street legal.

Sounds amazing, but I'm not crazy about the design. When I read the write up, I was expecting a smaller body, not a wagon.

Its not as big as it looks on those pics komodo, its more of a hatch, its the size of a VW golf. Theres going to be 2 door coupe and hatchback versions too... prolly called the 2 series.

There making an M2 which will be even more of a thorough bred beast.

Maybe so... but it also seems kinda lopsided that they'd create a car on the principal of "big engine, small body", but then make it 4 door. *shrugs*

yea i don't understand why they would make a 4 door, if you going to buy a car that small why wouldn't you ever need 4 doors. none the less i still like the new design, especially the coupe

Hey that is the 1 series, I saw picts of the M1 version in London of that car....
BTW those cars are hot in the UK!

i think that almost looks like a tiberon. however i am glad that bmw is producing a vehicle like this seeing that the 3 series is getting more and more bloated. i think this has potential.

Well it's got small and light going on. That's what I'm after. Let's see. kinda like the E30 would be if a 330i ever happened

I like It. I'd Buy it. When i was in europe over spring break, i saw those things all voer the damn place. Everyone in europe has one.
