BMW General Discussion

Talk about BMWs in general. Post official news, Bangle flames, or anything else related to BMW.
so i go to pick up my car from the shop where i had my Control arms installed.
I pay my shit, get in the car and notice the clock was reset, like somone pulled the battery. I go in and ask the guy what the hell thats about. He says the battery died while aligning the car(battery has 20thousand miles on it..and you know BMW batteries are fucking beefy) because they had the brake held.
Bullshit! i have left my lights on for 4 hours...battery didnt die. sorry...lie number one.
then i leave, annoyed..but what ever. Not really understanding why they would pull the battery terminals. Then i notice that my mileage is 50 miles then where it was when i left. (i remeber because i hit 130000 on friday night and didnt drive the car till sunday, when i drove it 60 miles, then another 60 miles on monday, when i dropped the car off.) The car has 130200 on it right now, after a 5 miles drive home.
Meaning these fuckers "test" drove my car for almost 80 miles......I assume they reset the OBC because the MPG changed radically(I reset it three days before and it was up at 25mpg cause i was taking it easy...and it would go lower very fast because the average was made in a short span of time.)
godamit...not very much i can do. Called the manger and told him i didnt appriciate my car being driven almost 80 miles. If anything comes up with it Im gonna flip a fucking bitch

the fact that the manager isnt pissed means that he probably did it, or condones the fact that it happens.
i know car dealerships and repair shops drive the cars a bit in certain cases for diagnosis, but that is a bit much, and unnecessary in your case.
agreed. NOt much i can do except never go there again and tell people they take advantage of you.
Filing something against them..isnt going to get me very far. Outside of just a complaint, and seeing how its a small town i dont need trouble

Dude seriously, post a complaint with the better business beraue. Businesse's are very eager to keep their status with the BBB on a neutral level. If they don't have an account with the BBB then the BBB will open one with a negative feedback. If you need more advice let me know (pre-law major).
Also, I had a problem like that, and the manager refunded me money and bought me new spark plugs. Be aware that it will take time, but they will answer!
I would quietly find out who the mechanics were, then do some homework on where they live, cars they own, etc. The wait a month or two, and mess with their sh**. Like you said, you can't really do anything about it now, but hey- time is on your side . . you should spend it being devious and diabolical
