Talk about BMWs in general. Post official news, Bangle flames, or anything else related to BMW.
Um, okay... most BMW's are made in Germany. However, there is a BMW factory in Spartanburg, SC. They build the X5, X3, E36 3-series (since 1996), Z3 and Z4. The E46 3-series was built in a factory in Regensburg, Germany.
Your VIN number will tell you where the car was manufactured. (Check the first three characters.)
WBA: factory in Munich
4US: factory in Spartenburg
WBS: M-factory
The first character of the VIN denotes where it was made.
1, 4, & 5 - USA
2 - Canada
3 - Mexico (check your VW)
S - England
Y - Sweden
W - Germany
V - Spain
T - Portugal
U - Ireland
etc...
p.s.
