Help a rookie out

I just came into possession of a 1995 530i that had been in storage for awhile,after replacing the battery,I am having trouble restoring the radio.I have the code,but not having the owners manual i do not know the proper sequence to enter it.Could anyone help?

Are you entering the code using the radio station preset buttons?
