First Post: Telling everyone about DDM/Apexcone

don't know how to start but this is not acceptable imo.

i sent a set of lights to apexcone or whatever they're called now about 2 months ago after talking to the owner jim about doing some work on them for me since i don't have the tools here in my dorm well a week went buy and i asked for an update and got nothing - something about hes out of the coutnry or some shit like that. then another week went buy and i called again this time i was told that some guy named leaf was going to help me.

then another week goes buy and i called again this time i was told my lights were finished and were shipped to me so i asked for a tracking number i got excited

after 3 days of asking for a tracking number i finally got one. the tracking number for fedex showed my package was not yet picked up. so i called again this time, i was told that the lights were not picked up by fedex becasue the driver was sick that week. so i thought, that was strange because fedex has drivers that deliver to me that are different when i buy from other vendors but i didn't think anything at the time.

Then on the 4th day, i saw the package going somewhere, only i'm in san ferdando and tihs package was going to Mississippi. so now i'm pissed off like mad. i called to ask what was going on and leaf told me that it must be a mistake and this is going to be rerouted to me. so now i'm feeling mad but i'm still holding out hope for my lights.

another 3 days goes by we're not into our 4th week of no lights and i check the tracking and the fedex shows it's back in san marcos. now i'm like WTF, where are my lights!!!!!!! now i've bought from bimmerworld and bavauto and soem others and never experienced this. what kind of a third rate operation is this? so now, almost 5 weeks after being told i'd have my lights back in 1 week, i'm still without a car, my temperature is rising and I still have no f'ing lights.

so this time, i called first thing on Monday for 10+ calls until i got through and was told they were sorry that fedex must have misunderstood them - yet another lie that i couldn't believe. so this time, i asked them to overnight it to me and they agreed. I got busy with some midterms and didn't worry about it for about another week or so and then i realized i didn't HAVE MY LIGHTS BACK. this time i got a call from them without me calling them and they said my lights were done and coming back to me. I was very happy but still upset.

so I finally got my lights - it was 2 weeks after they promised them to me overnight and NOTHING WAS DONE TO THEM AT ALL!!!!! They never even changed the packaging that I sent to them in the first place.

this is a shady company, don't do business with them no matter how good the price looks!!!!!!! they will scam you and do nothing for you.

wow, didn't think it was going to be that long.

Summary:
Lied to. Lied to again. Lied to 5 straight times.
Package shipped to 2-3 different places. Wrong Tracking numbers
NOTHING EVER DONE TO MY PRODUCT.
SHADY SHADY SHADY company.

Crap!!!!!!!!! this actually just happened to me last month. I typically do not hang around these forums but I probably will start! I typically stick to bimmerforums....

Anyhow I actually sent out my lights to Jim Powell from apexcone in San Diego and after an entire month of bullcrap.... I was about to take a trip down to San Diego... luckily my lights were returned... untouched of course! but at least I had them back. Just be thankful to have your lights back and write as much crap in as many places as you can to warn other members... This is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE! Luckily, Matt from umnitza saved the day! He is actually working on my lights right now but so far my experience with them has been exceptional. I have bought several things from them in the past but this will be the first time they actually do some work for me. I should have my lights this coming week. I'll keep you posted as to how good their work was. So far, their customer service has been superb! www.umnitza.com
Spread the word and just be thankful you have the lights back in one piece! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH APEXCONE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCREWED... Contact Umnitza!

i can't say im surprised, i heard plenty of horror stories about this shady company and the way they do business, why would anyone buy from such subpar company is truly beyound me.
good luck to both of you and give them hell twice a day until they come around and do right..

thats why we have habbie, ive heard quite a few complaints on BF.C, but theres one thing i thought was hilarious, his name is Lief, not leaf.. LOL

yes he knows thats where understeer gets their lights from, thats why he said "their" lights from understeer, but i think what he is trying to say is if you order from understeer you have to go with understeer's customer service, not DDM/Apexcone, but either way ive heard complaints about the products themselves, as well, not just the customer service involved

now why the hell would I get my lights from the same source that screwed me over the first time and add the complication of going to yet another middle man?
