1st Time Bimmer owner and luvin' it!
Hello all, greetings from "sunny" Surrey in the United Kingdom.
Picked up my first Bimmer last saturday. E36 318is coupe. Totally lurv the car. Don't know why it's taken so long but I've always wanted one and am totally hooked.
Will be spending the next few months getting her up to M3 spec so watch this space.
My first question is this - What is the general concensus on boot spoilers? With or without?
Mine has one and I'm not decided on weather I'll keep it or go for the smaller M3 lip style.
Appreciate any comments.

Welcome you guys from the UK are multiplying! I like the Spoiler you have on it at the moment , the m3 style lip might be cool, I have to say smaller is probably better.

Hi Sam, welcome to UB, nice car you got there, my personal choice would be the smaller spoiler, more subtle more M3

Welcome mate,
Nice lookin bm you got there. Enjoy it, you know you want to .
I agree with witeshark, E36's look great either with or without a boot spoiler. I had a hard time deciding too, I ended up getting this one, which I think looks pretty good:
P.s. You're officially the closest person to me on UB (I think). We could go for a BM cruise lol
Enjoy the forum

if you're using her as a road car, get whatever looks good. if you're going to race her, get something that actually generates downforce.

Welcome to the board. I also believe the E36 can look good with or without. I was undecided on boot spoilers and finally decided to have a M5 lip spoiler put on the back of my 540. I rather like the way it looks with it. Subtle. One day I will get pics of my car with the new spoiler on the back.
