A kick in the...

Can an E36, obviously with a manual transmission, be kick started? If so, what is the recommended procedure? Any precautions? Kinda curious.

Get it moving (push it or find a hill) have the ignition in the on position and pop the clutch. For use if your battery dies, or you stall and are still rolling.

Edit: might have to push the clutch back in right away depending on some factors.

Don't use first gear, you'll have much better ratio advantage with third. Obviously, you need to be quick to neutral to avoid stalling again

Kick the left rear quarter panel and jump as high as you can at the same time. As long as you dont trip, it should work.... and it adds five HP at the same time.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.
