The downfall of the E92 M3
I'm sad to say it, but it looks like MB has finally beat out the M3... and the M3 isn't here yet.
Looking at the stats, it really is a better car from most angles, and a better car all around. The only thing its missing is a manual transmission, but the auto tranny thats in it shifts faster than anybody could ever hope to shift a manual transmission
Motortrend Test Drives the C63 AMG
And keep in mind, Motortrend tested the E92 M3 as well ( Read about that test drive here), so when they say that the Benz will be the better car, they're certainly more qualified to speak on the matter than almost ANYONE else (aside from a few other magazines who have driven both - road and track come to mind) , and certainly anyone on here.

audi s4 v8 was always faster than the 3.2 I6, but people preferred the BMW, some said it was more fun to drive, i guess

But didn't the E46 M3 beat out the RS4 on the 1/4 mile a while back in that british show, I think it's Top Gear. They had done a comparison between both and if I remember the M3 had some advantages over the RS4.
They did state though that the M3 was more fun to drive though.

Yeah, sometimes mercs can just feel like big classy boats, but the M3 is way more gritty, loud, and wild.

no, thats what i was referring to. the s4 with the v8 had 1 more horsepower than the m3, and since it was a quattro it didnt spin as much tires off the line so it was a tad bit quicker in the 1/4 mile, however they did say the m3 handled much better and was a lot more fun to drive

not that i know of, generally about the same as the competing BMW, its not a generalization like 'saabs and volvos are usually pretty heavy'

The audis are heavier than the comparble cars because of the the AWD. MB did a great job on the C63. It will be interesting to see what happens when Dinan or Alpina get hold of the new M3. Time will tell. I still prefer the bimmer.

Who cares about the power I think that the M3 is still an overall better car than the c class, after all the c class is made in America by Chrysler, They only thing that makes it a benz is the badge.

It is an AMG, not a typical C class. Like I said, I would still prefer a bimmer.

Dude they are made in Germany, they only produce the M, R, GL classes in america and they are in the Mercedes Benz factory in alabama. Chrysler does not make any mercedes.
