Out with the x5 in with a 330i Sport.

So recently we purchased a 2001 X5 4.4l and it was great. Yesterday it broke down, and we are getting rid of it now. Thanks to BMW Road Side Service they towed the car to United BMW and we were given a 2004 330i Sport as a loaner car =D. This car is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It is absolutely the funnest car to drive =D. Only problem is Traction Control has been set to always on =(. This thing is soo freaking beautiful on the inside. I just got back in from pounding the shit out of it (hey its a loaner car, drive it like you stole it) and it is an absolute blast.

Just thought I would share this. My mom is not returning this car to United BMW by the way hahahaha.

Probably to prevent people from burning the tires up etc. They just ghetto-rigged it so it's always on... button probably wont help.

Yeah, the actual car probably has some kind of traction control button. They probably just took it out in the loaner car for liability and tires.

I wanted to finish my massive fishtail and keep it going, I was soooo dissapointed when the car just slowed to a stop after I lost all traction, quite dissapointing actually =(

You're driving all these nice bimmers recently.... X5 4.4 (which you were REALLY impressed with when you first got it), then the M Roadster which speaks for itself... now the 330i sport.....

I'm waiting for the day you sell your car for an M3 or something. (or another bimmer)

hehe :

Its the DSC button right down by the lighter. Eather they turned it on and unplugged the switch or they did some programming on it so you dont have the option of turning it on or off.

Anyway what happened to your x5? Did your check engine light come on and you had to get it towed? If your talking about an o-ring it could be as simle as the o-ring used to seal the intake somehow is leaking. That cound cause a check engine light and your car might run rough from it.

It had to get towed, it wasnt just an intake o-ring, would not have caused as serious of troubles as it did.
