About fucking time!

Didn't know where else to put this post.

I got an email from BMW today saying that they've finially decided to pull their head a few inches out of their ass and bring the 1 series to America. Will they have the smarts to eventually offer 4 bangers or diesel in them as well? Woo hoo! I know what I'm driving for The Ultimate Drive 2008!

I got the email too, but the official press release went out a few weeks ago, and the news were leaked long before that. I doubt they will be bringing the 4-cyl engines or the diesels. Part of the demise of the E36 compact here in the US was the small engine -- people here don't seem to want them. I think the 1 series will do very well. I think they should market it to recent college graduates or even students by offering attractive leases.
