car price....Bought it!!!

ok, here is the deal, 1st i don't know if this is the right thread place to post it but wanted your general opinion and fast.

i came onto this 325is 1988, it has about 130k miles, no rust, clean title, red in color, auto, yeah, i am a sludge box fanatic

the interior is i say good and so the outside, it does have its little dings for the year. the guy is asking for 2,500. do u think this is a reasonable price? input please

Does it have maintenance records & receipts? How's it run & drive? Any vibrations ? Any leaks, smoke when starting, fuel odors? You gave all the "looks" descriptions - but didn't mention any of it's vitals.

I have not seen it in person yet, but i will be looking at those things of course, i will test drive it and see how it handles, look for leaks, check hoses, etc.

if mentioned things are ok where would u price it c1apton?

price is reasonable, but still try to negotiate him down if possible. "Horse trading is still horse trading"

Yea I would always try to knock it down, but if its well taken care of 2500 doesn't sound too bad.

UPDATE...well i went saw the car, drove it and i pulled the trigger, some pics below..i hope it lasts a while..

the guy had done some work on it in April, water pump, all cooling/heating hoses, driveshaft, right front control arm, he gave me the records & receipts. i am planning to change the engine, tranny and differential fluids for now.

That's a nice looking e30 . I would say take that bra off because I hate them, but I guess it's better then a whole bunch of chips in the paint.

Is that Brillant or Henna red or one of the others. Looks pretty nice, im not a Diving Board fan, but nice purchase. Any plans for it?

Where can i find the color paint label on the car, by the production label or it is on a special place?

" Diving Board " what are u refering to?

i am planning to keep it as it is for now, i want the purchase to sink in first

later maybe i am planning to change the rims to 16" of something...any recommendations?

i think i am keeping the bra for now, i can see what chips have done to my other E30's hood

that is a great looking BMW im facinated with the e30s I just last week saw the first of the m3's ever made what a nice car I want one. for what your paying, it seems to be a bargain. nice

The big metal Bumpers = Diving Boards, in the engine bay on a shock tower it should have the color code but it might not be there still.

ok, i get it now..metal Bumpers..yes at first i was turned off as well, but for some reason that car pulled me, i think it was the red color

i will check on that, i would like to know what that color is called as well, if the label is not there can the dealership give me that info by the vin#?
