The new 1 series is not a piece of crap. Maybe the M version can be called the M1xx, with the xx standing for an indication of the engine's displacement (which I would imagine they would use some version of the s54 3.2 so maybe M132 or M135 -- BMW seems to do things like that) |

They are supposidly bringing the 1 to the states but its only going to be in a sedan/coupe/convertible style because bmw has abandoned hatches and are probably looking to not cut into mini sales. And why would the 1 be a peice of crap I have only read good reviews and I think they look pretty decent.
The real M1 is a dead sexy car. |

i would get one for a DD in the city.
it would have a slushbox or smg (for the traffic) and be diesel powered.
then i would park it between my M3 and E30.

last i heard they just weren't going to for fear of a drop in mini sales. good to know they might reconsider. i hope the market makes it - i'd love to see some 1s driving around.

I really like the 1s... I see them occasionally here in southern az (with mexico plates) But I would seriously consider getting one in a couple years. |
