Bmw Goes Bankrupt!

Just kidding, but hopefully I got your attention, my friend brought up a point he said "Matt what would you do if bmw went bankrupt or sold themselves to like MB or ford or something" i said "thats impossible"

but.......what would yall do if it did happen, would U lose faith in them, or what, I dont exactly know what happens when other companies buy other companies. I dont know if "BMW" would still be working on them.

but what would yall do? cry.....sel your cars.......not care?

Just a odd question I wanted to ask. HOPEFULLY that never happens.

but Im pretty sure bmw is doing well? i hope at least

BMW is doing very well. In fact, BMW AG (auto group) owns Mini and Rolls-Royce along with BMW.

I really don't think that BMW would sell themselves to MB. The rivalry between Stuttgart and Munich (you would know if you have been to either city) is way to great for it to come to that.

I hope they always stay an independent manufacturer and doesnt let ford or someone buy them out.

but they seem to have a tight grip on their finances and they should be here for a LONGGGGGGGGGGG TIME

not really. It's a hypothetical question
and as much as I know the 3 series is like half their profit.

i still dont know how "financially" they stack up to other companies

^^^ I little bit of research for you...

BMW AG is doing just fine. Here are some comparisons between Daimler-Chrysler, BMW AG and General Motors based on stock prices.

BMW AG (in the German stock market) is trading at 42.29 Euros. The auto group is a fairly stable company and has been climbing in price in the past ten years.

(Source: DE:BMW)

Daimler-Chrysler (again in the German stock market) is trading at 52.78 Euros. They actually have dropped steadily in price in the last ten years from over 90 Euros to what it is today.

(Source: DE:DCX)

General Motors (in the NYSE) is trading at $30.99. GM stock has been falling steadily over the past ten years, but not as sharply as Daimler-Chrysler.

(Source: NYSE:GM)

Now, I'm no stock analyst, but I think we're okay.

(my apologies to the rest of the forum - this exchange is NOT going to be "pretty)

Merc: Re hypothetical question - EVERYTHING YOU ASK IS A HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION! Just look at your past posts - Does "CHICKEN LITTLE" ring a bell? If not - GOOGLE IT! This one just zoomed your ass to the top of my ignore list - end of story.
