rebirth of a faithful old friend

i bought it from a friend who was the original owner...it's a 76 california car....this is what the car looked like when i bought it in 78...

after many years in the caifornia and arizona sun, the paint was beat to death and wouldn't shine no matter what i did.....so i did this...

last summer, i bought a few tools and spent about 6 months hanging out on paint forums, took a deep breath and painted it myself....here's the finished product....

sweeeet - 2 tones gave it a more "euro" look. Looks like you drove it straight out of the Italian Alps.
