whats the point in getting a big v8 sporty motor, its an SUV...

thats why you see all those clowns crashing their suv's on backroads because they have the crazy power, but not necessarily the handling of a car.

because its big and heavy. with a small motor it is slow as shit. also if you ever need to tow something you need power. ever try driving through the mountains in an low powered vehicle? it sucks!

I'd only get a V8 in an SUV...there's just more power.

I think you're right. The base model has the same engine but as far as the V8s, in which you DO have...they are modified of whatever VW has going for them.

Porsche is the same thing. They just stick and modify whatever they have. Lucky for them they have sports car engines. So stick one of those in there and you're good to go.

Audi has AWD engines...so those are modified and stuck in there...according to who makes the SUVs.

Anywho, I like the Touareg don't get me wrong....I just think that that the Porsche SUV would be better...IMO sportier and faster. Duh, it's Porsche.

But, to each his own.

Soooo, do you know what packages your mom's Touareg has?

You do realize Porsche and VW designed the car together, right? Porsche and VW worked together to design it. It shares the same frame. Great, Audi Q7 is adding into the mix. Makes me like the car even more, because now I'm buying a Porsche/VW/Audi. REALLY justifies the cost to me.

I'll take the much cheaper Tourag with the same frame, suspension geometry and base engine as the Porsche. BMWLotAttendent is pretty good at selecting the cars he wants when he's about 60 and has some $$.
