Happy summertime!

thought i'd remove the hardtop for a bit and let the softtop breathe as its been stored for ages, took a couple of pics with the roof down, just have to find some storage space for the hard top!

Gonna be fitting a new Lumma CL1 front bumper which looks like this:

Also gonna remove the current bonnet and replace with a standard clean bonnet, with no vents or anything to keep things clean, and gonna be doing the 2.7 engine conversion. Will keep you posted!

That's a sweet looking ride. I hear ya on the louvers/vents... when I had mine cut we put in heat sheilds on the undersides to keep dirt and moisture out (they're like 3 sided U shaped pans about 1/8" deep) they worked out really trick. It's funny on cool or misty nights you can see heat rising from the vents when stopped. They also keep the engine compartment temps down.

Nice vert, I like the bumper you will be getting, and the 2.7 stroker?

I'm curious about the hard top. I didn't know there was one for E30s. Is it custom?

Sorry, not feeling it... as Storamin noted, kinda ricey. Meaning, it just looks too much for an E30. Maybe it's just I'm not used to seeing an E30 with such a big-ass bumper or skirts like that. Just my opinion of course, not being a dick or anything.

hopefully in the next month or 2 at the most. Got a contact who has a complete 2.7 eta bottom end which has been fully rebuilt. So will be just a case of bolting onto the 325 head, some decking will be required and getting the timing nice and sweet. Fingers crossed the guy who is gonna do it reckons with everything done about 190bhp and 190 lb/ft of torque, but will get it rolling road tested to see if it realistically has! Just after a little bit more torque.

I took them off, didnt really like them much, looks more clean with less badging, everyone knows its a BMW no need to make it totally obvious lol!

No they were readily available from BMW at the time when they were made. There are 2 types, the official BMW one which I have and the Wiesmann copies which arent as good as the originals but still do the job!

Thats a pic of the hardtop:
