Older than many of the members on this board. including myself. i present, for your approval. my 85 535i

in this pic you can see the little dents near the roundel

the interior. pretty good condition except a burn/cut on passenger seat

the back seat.

the engine. 3.5 liters of 80's fury!
and ofcourse its not a TRUE BMW if the warning isnt in german first, english second. ( also that red sticker states its made in W.Germany. gotta love when they used to have to specify)

whats the acceleration like in those compared to say an e36 325, or an e34 535?

it pains me to say it. i think the e36 would win in a race.
the e34 would be a close one. cause although 5'ers have gotten more powerfull over the generations theve gotten fatter.

some power to wieght ratios. ( lbs/HP)
e28 535i - 17.97
e34 535i - 17.16
e36 325i - 16.33

but the e28 is a great cruiser. you can feel the road in the same way as an e30. rip up the back roads all day and then at the end of the day, you can pick up yourfriends and go out some where with out cramming people in an undersized back seat. not to mention it will cruise on the highway with no effort.

i was driving back from going out to eat with 3 other people in the car, and doing 115 down the highway no one even noticed we were going that fast till another kid who was with us at dinner called. one of the best convos ever

you should get some basketweaves for it, would look great.
