so what kind of stuff did you use? is there a DIY article about it? how do you think it'd look on a black bimmer? i'm thinking it might be too subtle...

I used something called "VHT Spray Tint " you can easily buy it from Ebay. No real DIY, you just clean the emblems (I bought new ones), spray that stuff until you reach desired effect of shade, and one coat of clear (or more, depending on how it reacts and how patient you are)

I am really not a big fan of shaved emblems, never really was. And as far as the dealer sticker goes, that's my dad's place so that's why it was on the car, lol
