I got my car back on friday after 19 days of it being in the shop. In case u dont know the car was involved in a hit and run and the front grilles and the grille frame were damaged and the bumper was scratched pretty bad. So since my insurance company was paying for it, i thought it would be a perfect time for a few upgrades.
So what i did was replace the stock bumper with an M3 OE Poly bumper. Also we replaced the stock headlights with Halo angel eyes originally owned by 3twenty8i. Also the stock intake was removed and replaced with a CF Jim Conforti Shark Intake. And a set off UUC Motorworks Underdrive pullies in a black finish were installed as well
Heres what i think of all the stuff we installed:
Headlights: They look absolutley amazing. There super white bright which is pretty sweet. They fit absolutley perfectly with no gaps around the corners so that was pretty good. They have a wierd V shaped beam which is wierd at first cause im used to the stock lights but ill get used to it soon.
Intake: All i can say is DAMM. When u mash the gas all u hear is VROOOM once u get into ur power band. It just makes the car sound so much more deep and throaty. Ill try to get a sound clip but its just such a nice sound. A sound that would be so much better complimented with an exhaust (coming soon lol).
Bumper: The bumper looks so nice with the Halo angel eyes. It would look better with new fogs which are on there way. We had the lip painted black and it just makes it look so much nicer. The black molding and new grille on it make it look so nice. it will be nicely complemented with a set of M3 mirrors in the near future.
Paint: Walter and his staff at Conntinental did the most amazing job with painting the car. The paint looks so nice and was blended so seamlessly and absolutly perfect. It was everything ive waited for and so much more.
Underdrive Pullies: Since i havent driven the car for 19 days i didnt know if id notice a differnce with the pullies or not. But actualey i can feel a slight difference in power. Acceleration is quicker now, but when i first picked up the car the steering felt really stiff. I dunno if that was just me or the car, but now it seems back to normal. But id recomend the pullies to anyone who wants an increase in torque for not alot of money. The pullies are nicely commplimented by the Jim Conforti Intake.
I currently have M3 mirrors on order (thanks to Rooz) and i will probably be installing the eyebrows at the same time as the mirrors. Next mods after that will most likely be suspension and a sweet set of rims ive had my eye on.
Id now like to thank a few people who helped make the car what it is now:
Paint and body: Walter Lehmann - Conntinental Auto Body
M3 Bumper: Bobby - Tunerworks
Halo Angel Eyes: 3twenty8i - United Bimmer
Well here are the pics. Ill start off with the before shots first. the move to pics from during the repair. Then the pics of the car when its finished.
