You guys ready for Bimmerfest 2009? I am!

Here is what Jon Shafer has to say about the upcoming event,
"This coming May 2nd, thousands of bmw enthusiast's from all over the West and many from beyond will converge upon Santa Barbara, California to gather at the 10th anniversary edition of the largest BMW meet in the world.
For this year's event we have moved our venue to the Santa Barbara Polo Club where attendees will be parking on manicured grass -- allowing for a "Concours 'D Elegance" atmosphere at the show.
Based on current projections we are expecting over 2,500 custom, classic, modified & stock Bimmers to be on display, with many competing to claim a prize in the infamous "Battle of the Bimmers" competition.
Caravans to the event from the Pacific Northwest, from the Desert Southwest, San Diego, the Inland Empire and Los Angeles are now forming.
Hope to see all of you Bf.c regulars there once again. Our new event site is only 1/8th of a mile from the beach, and people are already making their plans for pre- and post-'Fest parties...
Are you ready to rock?
Here are some images of the new event site which is more than twice the size of anything we've had before.
Plus... It's on grass."

Here is a video from 2007, I couldn't find any decent 2008 vidoes. This one is good up until min 6:30 where the camera man takes some artistic liberty.

Also, I am, with the permission of Jon, trying to do a cruise after bimmerfest like they did four years ago. I am working with chp to do this. It is an all euro drive though so invite all your friends. Here is a clip of a past bimmerfest drive:
Note: turn off the sound, the wind gets annoying.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting everyone May 2nd.
