As you all know I bought this 330i two months ago (Sept '08). I'm the second owner and luckily she only came with 37,017 miles on the odometer. Today there is now 40,500 miles on the odometer. So that means on average in any given month from 2001 to now I have driven this car more than the previous owner who first bought her back in 2002.
What I like about this particular car is the color, year and engine combination is very very very rare. BMW most likely only used this color once for the 2001 330i model year sedan. You will find the color to be more prevelant on 2001 to 2002 3 series coupes as well as 5 series BMWs from the same model years. In 2002 BMW used the color once again for 330i and 330xi sedans. Since then the Topaz Blue color has dissappeared in the wake of the endless boring army of strictly-business inspired silver, black and navy blue 3 series w/ white and red being slightly more rare to see. In the E90 BMWs a similar color used is called Montego Blue metallic, but it is also rare.
I've been so busy driving and working and only found time to take pictures now. Also it has been raining non stop during the weekends in the New York area since summer ended. I finally got a clear and crisp Sunday afternoon for taking pictures. The pictures are taken around my building in Greystone, NY which is north Yonkers in Westchester, NY on the Husdon River and directly across the river from the majestic Palisades cliffs in New Jersey.
Enjoy,
Delmarco
