Hi mate did you do any alterations where the double din fits, or did it fit straight in?

Sir,
It was not very difficult at all. I understand that 97-99 E39s differ slightly from later modelss in that the duct work within the opening is smaller. This being the case, I did not have to do any major modification. All I did is slightly move wiring to the side. and fit the 2 Din enclosure flush. It is not that difficult.

Thanx, i'll have a go, Spoke to afew radio installers but have not had much luck. They all say it's not possible (what do they know)....

By the way your'e car looks great....TOP JOB.

I did not change my speakers or AMP....
I am not a "big sound" guy. Cruising is just fine with me, I'll need my earslater in life:-)
