About 1.5" drop in front / About 1.0" drop in rear
After: currently
The job took me about 4 hours, the rear springs were a bitch! There's not much room under there, also found old right rear spring broken on the very last coil!
The ride is stiffer, not bad at all over bumps & definitley tighter around turns!
Overall, very satisfied with the difference in look & ride!
How cool Good that you replaced that broken spring!
Yeah, I hit a huge pot hole in March of last year & replaced the front struts, rear shocks, & rear shock mounts, but did not know about the spring being broken!!!
I have the HR/Bilstein set up on my 1998 328i. The ride is not as hard as others and it handles very well. Your ride looks very nice. Have you thought about upgrading to a new pair of shoes for your ride? It would deffinately take your ride to the next level.

Hmmm. How long after you were done was that pic taken? and what shocks/struts did you go with. Seems that your rear should be a BIT lower. Ive got H&R Sports as well, and my rear is more tucked than urs

johnnybayonne, I live in Brooklyn, who does the work on your car? You are in jersey, right. I need a mechanic that does engine and body work for my car. I have the same car as you. '97 328I sport package, black and I am doing some more mods real soon.

I did the springs last friday the 4th, & I installed Bilstein's in April 2007.
I have 15 mm eibach wheel spacers in the rear maybe thats what is throwing you off a little!!!

Hey! alpha06! I do all the mechanical work on my car myself. As far the bodywork, my car did not need any bodywork other than the clay bar, polish, & wax!!
There is a bodyshop in Bayonne called Advanced Autobody my brother has used them on many occasions & they do quality work!!!!

This European styling piece will add flair to your 3 series. We discovered these at last year's Automekanica show in Frankfurt, Germany. Each piece is precision molded for a hassle-free fit and finish, then imported directly from the manufacturer by Bavarian Autosport. Painting is required. Professional installation is highly recommended.
