does the vanos make the marble noise or not? im really not quite sure if my car has that problem or not, honestly i really dont care because if i do have the sticky vanos that means i get really good gas mileage, and for the way i drive my car, 29 is very good... however im definately not ready to tear apart my engine and timing for a problem that really isnt a problem. i mean my car makes NO noise, no ticking, no marbling, or anything like that, but i dont know if it has to make the noise in order for the vanos unit to be sticky, but on that matter, if i use a different type of oil, such as mobil 15w-50 synthetic, would that help? right now i use castrol syntec 5w-30

you would know if it did, its pretty loud you can definetly distinguish it over the engine. sometimes the car hesitiates because of it too, im going to have to replace it with a new one.. im going to upgrade to a drvanos one though.
check out drvanos.com for video clips of the marble sound.
