Hum, not a bad idea....
Not bad at all.
The only downside I can see though is either A) twice the size of storage space, with two copies of every wallpapers, with and without the watermark... or B) much, much more intense CPU usage on every wallpaper view because of generating on-the-fly.
Both options hurt.
