Say whatever you want, 'supply and demand', or whatever, but when they bump up prices to 3.60 just because a hurricane comes around, that right there is price gouging and taking advantage of a situation where others are suffering to bring in more money.
I dont think they delibritley raised gas prices just becuase of the hurricane. I saw on the news several gas plants had to temporarily shut down because of Katrina, thus causing a loss of almost 1 million gallons of gas being produced daily. Thus the supply dropped dramaticly and demand started to go up. Which imo forced gas prices through the roof to basiclly force people to conserve gas.
