The 8 was designed as a Grand Touring coupe. I think that that means it was built for driving a continious 150 MPH on the Autobahn while listening to the stereo and holding a quiet conversation at speed.

Unfortunately that isn't how we drive here

The E39 M5 is a better compromise and it even has a back seat!
Some of us are working our way up toward the M5 performance levels- we probably won't get there but the 850CSi is close out of the box. 200 pounds heavier than the M5 and 380 HP versus 400 for the M5.

With my Euro chip (Alpina clone) and a few other tweaks I should be around 330 in my 840 (340+ if everybodies claims are accurate) which isn't to shabby out of 4 liters Regeared with 3:64 gears now versus the stock 2.83 gears I shouldn't be too afraid of Stock Civics anymore .

With a car that looks like that, I don't think you ever had to

Well you know how you tend to turn in the direction you are looking?

If I am in a herd of Hondas I know which way they are looking! So I worry about stock Civics Wouldn't you?
