Holy F#*kin Shit!!!
Damn! So as most of you know when I bought my L7 the heater core was bad... so I pulled it and replaced with a new one, yadda yadda yadda. Now I went and pulled the original carpet and sound insulation... FUCK! It stinks worse now than it did when everything was in it and reaked of antifreeze! Smells like a combination of rotting corpse, ass, and vomit! I have to pull the console again to get the last of the carpet and foam... does anyone know what I could use to get that stench out of the car? I assume it rotting foam since the previous owner didn't have enough pride in his car to get it taken care of, and not to mention when I pulled everything the foam was black and falling apart.
Also... the 1/4" thick black 'matting' that is in the center of the foot areas infront of all the seats - should I scrape that off and replace it(thinking a THIN layer of rhino lining or line-x or something of the sort to seal the steel up and protect from rust... that shit's heavy.)
Lastly, I need new insulation... I noticed parts of it were upwards of almost 2" thick (if not more), like right next to the inner kick-panels up front. If anyone knows of a scrap car that's dry I can pull the foam from (of they can pull and ship - I'll reimburse/pay in advance - for shipping plus labor of getting the foam and any other associated costs)?
Thanks SSSOOOOOO much in advance everyone!

well what you do is look for parts near that area, and if you find a junkyard that has them, give them a call and see if they are willing to rip otu that piece of foam for you... and u dont need OEM btw, its just any random insulation im sure you can find even padding from anothe rbimmer that will fit urs

Just go to a home supply store, like home depot and get carpet insulation. You could just fit it to the front.
