Right Tail light problem
Im having problems with the right tail light burning out... Anytime I get on the car it burns out... Which indicates a surge.. Would this have anything to do with having a low battery? I havent replaced it yet.. But I cant think of any other reason...

I doubt a low battery would cause a surge... Have you checked the connectors in the light?

Try replacing the bulbs on both sides. Don't use an old bulb with a new one.

Will do.. But I have to ask why this would make a difference? Not to be sarcastic... But because I am so ignorant when it comes to this car...

Sometimes the sockets (at least on the 5 series) good "bad". For what ever reason, the sockets get hot and melt a bit. It happened on my mother's car. Anyway, replace the bulbs with quality ones (Osram and Slyvania seem to work the best...).
Hope that helps.

The socket of my left front turn signal got messed up like that and it seemed to have the same effect. So yeah, check the socket.

It all boils down to electrical resistance. Even what RS and Mullet are saying . . bad sockets, old bulbs, corrosion, etc. can contribute to altering the current flow in the circuit.
