Painting trim...
 

I pulled the grilles and fresh air vent trim, got the high gloss dupli-color paint, and have gone through almost a whole (large) can... trim still dries gray! Anyone know what the best paint brand to be used for repainting the trim black is? I'm planning on doing all the black trim around the whole car.

Lol... I'm not sure what good pics would do since I'm just looking for info on the best paint to use on the trim... but I'll see what I can do here in the next couple hours when I swing back by the house.

I need someone to remind me but here is a lead, something Like SEM Trim paint. It matches What the BMW would look like stock.

Meaning there's a post on it or just that someone knows for sure?

I found posts on Wurth & SEL brand paints... are these the ones I'll want to look into? I'll do some research on them and see if I can find a local place to pick some up.

Wurth black satin trim paint. works excellently. and its the paint bmw uses for trim at the factory.

Roger that... I'll see what I can do to find a local shop that carries it.

^^^ heh. no local shop carries good stuff like that. unless its some specialty independent. i had to order it online.

^^^ now ure testing me! i originally was going to get it from pelican parts (pelicanparts.com) but the shipping or something was going to take too long, so i just looked for it online and ordered it from a small auto store.

Well, I went and purchased Wurth satin trim paint, and self etching primer (2 cans of each)... won't be here till the 28th or so, but I'm heading to eastern WA on Wed. anyhow so it works out =oD Once I get all the trim painted and put back on I'll post pics (forgot to get b4 pics) and update my sig (just put new roundels on - hood one was stolen on halloween)
