740I tranny shifter problem
My shifter has a problem shifting from drive back to park. I need to know how to get to the area inside the car underneath the actual shift area where the flat woodgrain area and automatic and manual shift button is located. Sorry, im a new threader also, my name is Ron and I own a 525I 1993 Bimmer also. Thanks guys, any help out there would be appreciated. When I got it to move at all, it seemed to push something up against the flat woodgrain area at the left forward side. Something is loose and has bunched up there I think.

use a flat head screw driver to pop the trim off carefully, then a phillips head screw driver to remove the part around the shifter.
