7 Series (E23, E32, E38, E65, E66)General discussion and technical help for all year 7 series cars.
Has anyone here installed xenon fog kit and found a way to trick the check control into not displaying the chk fog light message in an E38. I will figure it out if not but just checking.
Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

You have three choices, stand behind our troops, grab a gun and toe the line with our troops, or stand in front of them, they can use the extra armor.

each car's check control system is different, some will throw a code while others wont, all thats needed for a cure is a ressistor pack i sell them for the 5er but it may work on the 7er, i would say do your hid conversion and then worry about the check control.
I did the hid conversion and I did get the check control error, what I did as a temp fix is wire in some side marker lights which fixed it. I tried to put in some .47 ohm resistors at first but that did not work, I thought it might because the stock fog bulb had a resistance of .40 ohms. Then I tried the side marker bulbs and that worked. But I would be intersted in you resistor packs please let me know whats up with them.
