Wife had an L7 when I first met her - one of the reasons I knew she was a cool chick (She owned a BMW!). 240K miles on it (Yes, you read correctly). We put a bullet in her at 262k - she'd seen her last lap.. That thing, was a STEEL BOX if I've ever driven one.. Man, nothing could hit us in that, and cause me worry..
Good thing about the L7's, is that the old 735's parts work for them for the most part.
And yes the wheels were a bitch to get (We had to replace a really warped one..) They were metric sized - I was like 'wha??'
I think I only have one photo of it - covered in the most snow I've seen in Georgia back in 2002 (or ever in my southern living..).
