2002 745 Transmission failsafe mode
Been having issues with the transmission going into failsafe mode. Looking into changing out the gearbox for a second hand one. My mechanic is concered that there may be issues with the immobiliser if I change for another box. Does anybody know of this problem? Is there a fix?

Thanks for your advise.We did have had a look at that about a month ago, cleared all the faults, changed the oil. seemed OK for a while, then the failsafe mode kicked back in. Always happens when i want quick acceleration, it trys to kick down a couple of gears but doesn't like it. All Ok is sports mode. This just happens standard automatic drive.
