Car Wont Lock
 

I have a 1998 740i and the car will not lock. Alarm was going off intermittently and now the car wont lock

You may need to reprogram your key/s. The easiest way I can tell you is follow the steps below;
1. Lock the car manually with your key.
2. Open the car manually with your key.
3. Go inside and close the door.
4. Insert the key in the ignition and turn to position 1.
5. Remove the key and hold down the unlock button, then press the lock button 3 times (all this must be within 10 seconds from removing the key). The locks will automatically lock and unlock the car.
