1985 BMW 735I no fire to plugs
I was going to work on the BMW and put in a new thermastat the other day so I pulled it out in the driveway so as to drain the fluid there was no problem getting it done all went fine untill I got ready to start the car and it wouldn't fire so I started checking to see what the problem is and I found that there is no spark to the plugs so me being from the old shcool I thought ignition coil so off to the parts store I go and after $85.00 for the new coil and thirty minutes of putting it on the car it still didn't have any fire to the plugs I have been looking around the web for some answers and really didn't find much except they say there is a ignition modual unit that could cause my problem so thats where I am at at this time. Do any of you people here know if that is right or not is there a ignition module somewhere on this car if so where would it be located and where would a guy find the part.? PS It is good that I found this sit I think I will be getting a lot of help here.:bash
chk all the fuses then chk the car motoronic (obe computer),
chk cam postion sensor on the buttom of engine (front)
maybe not connected or lose and i think its the problem couse its close to the radiator
Thanks for your comeback I found the trouble one of the sinsers on the flywheel came disconetced the metal keeper that holds the plug together fell off put on new keeper and now we are rolling.:clap Thanks for your info.
