Question Tachometer Problem!!

Hey guys, I have a 2000 740iL. I just got it recently and for some reason my tachometer stopped working. The odometer and the rest of the gauges work fine. Does any one know how to fix this?

Thanks

I have a 2001 740I with a similar problem. The Tachometer will either not indicate or will be slow responding. Any ideas?
