1981 BMW 733i heat problem.

I have the car stated above, E23. The heat just went out. It was never very good which sucks because it's cold here in Indiana. Now the blower motor just quit working. The heat sucked because the car only ran 1/4 of the way up the temp gauge. If that. So I needed a new thermostat. And the blower motor has been making a lot of noises lately, but if finally quit working last night.

Are there any rigs that I can do to make it work again? The local auto parts stores don't car a blower motor for it.

Sorry my typing was a bit off that night.

So my blower motor could just use new gears, but it wasn't working because it was melting the fuse. Not blowing the fuse, melting it. So there is a short somewhere. It uses Bosch type fuses I think(as if you don't know).
