Rear transmission seal

Has anyone changed a rear transmission seal? Mine is leaking onto my muffler and causing a smoke screen effect, sometimes. Is it a complex job, or is it a saturday morning at home on the ramps job?

is this the differential or the gearbox?

Wher the shaft comes out of the transmission. About even with the driver's door. Is that clear?
