97 740i parts question
I was told that my smoking exhaust was more than likely due to a bad pcv valve. I cant find one!! I can only find a repair kit for it. Is this what I need ? Or am I looking in the wrong place? The kit is $65 shipped. but I dont want to buy If its not what I want,or need.Anyone have a good site to buy parts? Thanks again

Your going to need # 2,12,14,15 to reseal your intake and change out pcv.
If you want to do a good job and clean out the intake then removal is your best bet.
It is possible to change out just the pcv valve but its pretty hard laying on the engine trying to see behind the intake manafold

Thanks Antiburn for the info Ive decided to do the whole removal process. That way I can replace the unit and do some preventive work at the same time.
