e32 740iL SHUTS off when I STOP! TRANNY?
Good Eveninig/Good Morning, (Depending where you are)
I have this sort of ghost problem and altough I have done some analyzing I just don't know enough. My 7 series stalls when I come to an accelerated stop. If I slow down over 50-70 feet it stays running with maybe just a dip in the rpms. Also, guaranteed if I floor the pedal as the rpms hit 3500/4000 the car jerks and stutters and forces me to let off the accelerator. There was most recently an error read with an OBD1 that said "Rotational Speed Signal" failure. But you never know. I don't have much money to waste by giving it to a mechanic and sometimes I feel that I know the car better.
I feel that the transmission is having trouble shifting. The more I focus on it, when I stop short it must stay in 2nd, 3rd or whatever gear but that could cause it to stall. And when I accelerate maybe it's a kickdown....
Any ideas, any transmission computers I can swap out or something. If I stop short with the car in neutral it runs fine. And if I let off the brake when it begins to stall it will catch itself.
