What is "grey market" about this?

I was bored so I was checking out what was for sale on craigslist. I came across this 7. http://tucson.craigslist.org/car/540528219.html Anyone know why the guy is calling it a grey market car?

The car is a Euro spec. Most likely brought in by US military returning from European station. The 728i was not available in the US, and you can see that the bumpers aren't US spec.

Thanks whiteshark. I hate driving by Ft. Huachuca. There are always cops when I go through. Have you ever been down there Celsdogg?

The Car had to be converted in some way so it could be tagged in the US. If you are interested in it you should ask them fro the documentation of the vehicle when they brought it to the states. If they don't, the car meets the NHTSA 25 year exemption, so you would be good to go anyways.

Ah... Every one that I have met that lives down there seems to like it alot. I just like the roads between Sierra Vista and Bisbee and between Sierra Vista and Nogalas. They aren't too curvy, but they are good curves if your going fast. I was going 95-100 once coming down from Bisbee and the radar detector went off for pop... Some how it was a false signal though. I haven't done it since then.
